Miller Scout Variation

This is an interesting item that I purchased many years ago. Its a white waistcoat scout made by Miller in the 1960's. Its in great condition and when I first looked at it I thought nothing more about it... but taking a second look I realised something quite remarkable. The legs and hands have been enamelled blue rather than the usual black.

The Miller factory was well known for their strick quality control so it is very rare to find mispaints like this. Maybe it was done on purpose, or maybe it was one of the workers having a bit of fun on a Friday afternoon and making a unique badge to take home with them... either way it is an interesting item. I have also seen a second badge with blue hands and legs. I have passed details to the Golly Checklist team so it might become an official variation if more items are found like this in future. The usual white waistcoat Miller Scout is below for comparison:
